Scottish Oak Wood Shaving Brush

This beautifully grained shaving brush has been handcrafted from a single piece of locally sourced Scottish oak.

Each handle has been hand turned on a lathe before being sanded and hand finished with a natural tung oil, used for centuries in China to waterproof ships. Although naturally water resistant this additional protection not only adds durability to the oak but provides a beautiful satin finish to highlight the stunning wood grain.

Traditionally shaving brushes were made with badger hair however due to the increasing concerns regarding animal welfare, the brush has now been finished with a synthetic knot. This also the has the additional benefits of being fragrance neutral, fast drying, longer lasting and, although extremely soft on the skin, they are robust, non absorbent and require less shaving cream or soap to generate a rich and luxurious lather.

This truly individual brush has a gentle backbone and an abundance of fine fibres which provide a luxurious shave. In addition, by selecting a synthetic brush knot we ensure that all shaving brushes are cruelty free and ideal for use by vegan shavers.
