Scottish Oak Whisky Individual Dram Quaich (Small)

£30.00

Traditional handcrafted oak quaich

Availability: 10 in stock

Synonymous with Scotland and used to describe a small pour of whisky offered as a gesture of hospitality and friendship, this Individual Dram Quaich has been cut from a beautiful single piece of locally sourced oak before being hand turned on a lathe.

The term “dram” was initially derived from the word “drachma” and was used to refer to treasure or currency in ancient Greek and Roman times. This was adopted in medieval Britain to denote a small unit of weight or volume, often in apothecaries, for measuring precious metals and it is fitting that Scottish whisky is held in such high esteem.

This Individual Dram Quaich is a beautifully crafted and functional piece, perfect as a gift for whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike and can be personalised upon request.

Each quaich holds approximately 20ml however due to the individual and hand crafted nature of each piece, all sizes and volumes are approximate. The quaich is finished with pure tung oil and a final coat containing natural beeswax and oil has been applied to both protect and highlight the stunning grain.

While we try extremely hard to ensure our photos are clear, detailed and accurate the product’s colour and grain pattern may vary slightly from those shown.
