At Lochsloy Design we believe the character of whisky oak should never go to waste. These palm-sized bottle openers are created using offcuts from authentic reclaimed whisky barrel lids, transforming what would otherwise be discarded material into functional handcrafted pieces with lasting character.
Each opener is cut by hand and lathe turned from oak that once matured Scotch whisky, preserving the unique grain and whisky markings developed during its previous life in the cask industry. The result is a compact circular bottle opener designed to sit comfortably in the hand whilst carrying a genuine connection to Scotland’s whisky heritage.
Reflecting the Lochsloy Design minimal waste ethos, every piece is individually crafted to make the most of reclaimed materials whilst celebrating the natural imperfections and individuality of the wood itself. No two are ever identical.
