This beautiful and unique shaving brush is crafted from a single piece of stunning partridge wood, a dense and exotic hardwood found in South America and named as a result of the grain’s close resemblance to a partridge wing.
Each handle is hand turned on a lathe before being sanded and hand finished with a water based acrylic coating. In addition to water resistance and durability, the finish produces a deep satin sheen which further highlights this stunning wood grain.
Although traditional shaving brushes were made with badger hair, due to the increasing concerns regarding animal welfare, each handle has now been finished with a synthetic knot. These also the have the additional benefits of being fragrance neutral, fast drying, longer lasting and, although extremely soft on the skin, they are robust, non absorbent and require less shaving cream or soap to generate a rich and luxurious lather.
In addition, by selecting a synthetic brush knot we ensure that all shaving brushes are cruelty free and ideal for use by vegan shavers.
This truly individual brush has a gentle backbone and an abundance of fine fibres which provide a luxurious shave and would be a welcome addition to any shaving regime.
